I couldn't help taking a picture of Michael in this onesie...Mike's uncle Jack and cousin Angela bought baby Michael these for Christmas...I think they're adorable!

Michael and I went to Roswell Park today and met most of mommy's co-workers. Again, I forgot to bring my camera, so here's another shot that Jenn took. I need to strap that camera to my hip if I'm going to get any good pictures of my little boy! He was really good for Jenn though...he made a bunch of cute faces when she was taking these pictures of him!

My friend Jenn came over to visit today, and she had some fun posing Michael and taking pictures of him with her Olympus digital camera.

Michael's first visit to the Doctor

Baby Michael had his first Doctor's appointment yesterday 12/22 with his pediatrician. I forgot to bring the camera to get pictures, and what a mistake that was! We had to remove his clothes and diaper to weigh him and he proceeded to pee all over daddy, all over the exam table, and pretty much made a nice mess for us to clean up before the doctor came in! He gained not only his birth weight back ( he lost about 5 ounces in the hospital, so when we brought him home he weighed 8lbs. 4 oz.) but he also gained an additional 7 ounces, bringing him up to a full 9 pounds! The doctor was very pleased because most babies who are breast fed lose weight for the first two weeks. My sweetie is a good eater! He got his first hepatitis b injection, which he was none too happy about, and we had to have a bilirubin level drawn because he was just slightly jaundiced...but everything came back fine. I really like his pediatrician, she called me herself to let me know the bilirubin level was good, and to let me know I could call her any time if I have any questions...she makes her cell phone number available, which is amazing for a doctor to do. I can't believe we got so lucky with finding good physicians...I've worked for and with some of the worst! Well, all is well and we're looking forward to baby's first Christmas! This is mommy's Doctor. Dr. Weppner is the man that delivered me. We went to see him yesterday for mommy's 1 week follow up appointment. She's healing very well, is losing most of her pregnancy weight already, and is allowed to drive in another week! Dr. Weppner's nurse Barb, and his staff were all happy to see me!

This is Gramma and Poppy's dog, Buddy. I really liked Buddy...he was giving me kisses too.

This is MY doggy, Bailey. Mommy says Bailey is going to love and protect me...here she is giving me a kiss on my head. She came to check on me later when I started to cry a little bit.

And this is me! I'm Mikey, or as I've been lovingly nicknamed "M3". (Thanks for that one cousin Joe). My Gramma is holding me here. I was born on her birthday, and my 2 new cousins were born the next morning...mommy and Aunts Vicky and Tracy are already planning our first brthday party together! My cousin A.J. lives in Syracuse and my cousin Sydney lives in Michigan with her older sister Ashleigh.

In Memorium...

Sorry that Mommy hasn't been able to update with some more pictures of me yet. Her very good friend, Dan Mook passed away while we were still in the hospital, and we went to his wake today to say goodbye. I didn't get to meet him, but he knew I was born, which makes mommy happy. He battled Leukemia for more than 3 years, and after 2 bone marrow transplants and innumerable chemo and radiation treatments, his body just couldn't take anymore. Mommy is going to try to get more pictures up soon. We love everyone, and thank you for your messages!

INTRODUCING...

I've Finally Arrived!!!! Weighing in at 8 lbs. and 9 oz., and 21 inches long. I was born on Thursday, December, 14 2006, at 6:28 pm...this is the very first picture ever taken of me!

No Baby Yet! :(

Well, today is my official "due date" and I've not started labor yet. Michael must be pretty comfortable, cuz I'm sure not! If I don't go by my next Dr.'s appt, he's planning on inducing...which I don't want, so I hope labor starts soon!!! I'll keep everyone posted!

This is my favorite sonogram picture of baby Michael. My doctor has been doing sonograms every visit, because he has the machines right in his office. A nice bonus for me...I have "pictures" from 7 weeks pregnant, right up to 3 days ago!

Baby's New Blog

Hi everyone! After much nagging from loving relatives (you know who you are) and the recent gift of a very nice digital camera, my soon to be born son now has his own blog! I'll do my best to keep up with this on a "regular" basis. Which will probably be weekly, but who knows! ENJOY!!
