Here's Aunt Amanda with the cookie monster that she lovingly purchased for my kiddo. Cookie monster is great...he says a bunch of different things when you open his mouth...it's one of Mikey's favorite toys!!

Mikey was sitting in his Elmo chair when AJ came walking over. Well, he decided that cousin AJ should sit in his lap, so he grabbed him and tried to pull him into the chair with him, but they both ended up on the floor and Mikey stole AJ's bib instead!

Cousin AJ's first haircut

I bought some salon clippers so I could cut Mikey's hair. I've been cutting his hair with scissors and just a little trimmer, so the clippers are much nicer and easier. Well, my cutie pie nephew AJ was in need of a hair cut, So I had the pleasure of giving him his first haircut with my new clippers while they were here this weekend. He was REALLY good and it only took about 5 minutes (he really doesn't have a lot of hair, it was just getting unruly!)

Little feet

OK, so this isn't from this weekend, but it's cute! I snuck into Mikey's room the other night and found him with both of his feet sticking out of the front of his crib! Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough getting the camera to catch both feet, but this is still cute!

Mikey hasn't seen Dave since he was about 4 months old, but that didn't deter him from wanting to play with him! It was nice to see you Dave!!!

Budding Musician

The pots and pans make some pretty cool sounds when struck with serving utensils. Coupled with the lids, used as cymbals, we've got a full drum kit. This kept Mikey occupied for about 45 minutes.

Elmo chair

Mikey has been having a lot of fun in his Elmo chair...it vibrates and giggles when he sits down.

Comfy?

I guess Mikey was pretty comfortable in the stroller the other day when Debbie took him out for a walk! It was pretty chilly, so she had him all bundled up. Kind of reminds me of the little kid from "A Christmas Story" who couldn't move in his big outerwear!!

Puppy Love...Phase 2...Buddy

Well, in my last posts, I told ya that Mikey tries to hug Bailey, but she runs away. Well, poor Buddy can't move very fast anymore and Mikey has NO problem catching him for a hug or two!!!

Well, I can't very well give my friends blog a plug without giving my very talented older sisters' blog a plug as well!!! Hello Everyone!!!

A big hello to everyone!! I hope you all enjoy "tonight's" series of pictures. (it's now 3:37 in the AM, and I do tend to get silly when sleep deprived...I believe it's apparent when you proceed though the posts!)

Today's postings start with the pic entitled "Goofing off", you may like to start at the bottom and work your way up, which is the order they're posted in. Some areas require you to do so.

In a completely unrelated topic, my lovely friend sKY:: is doing a series of photo postings on her blog (link to the left of this photo) in which she is posting a different pic for every day of the year. I'm mentioning it because I've really been enjoying the photos and I'm very proud of my friends' artistic and creative abilities!!! Check it out and leave her a message here and there...I'm sure she'd enjoy it...just make sure you let her know who you are and who referred you!!!

On the home front, we're all doing pretty well...big Mike was sick most of this week, and we think Mikey might be coming down with what daddy had ( poor baby), but he's still happy and playful all the time! Mike took the Lieutenants exam for the fire department and did well, now he has to take a verbal test, which I'm sure he'll excel at. I'm still plugging away at school...every day of hard work is one day closer to my bachelors degree and a brighter future for our little family!! Mike doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to start wedding plans soon, with or without him...we need to get this show on the road!!!! My sis Vicky is getting excited about the planning and she's infecting me with the same excitement!!!

Well, I hope I didn't bore you poor folks with my long winded post...I know I'm not known for them! I hope everyone's winter is going nicely and please leave us a message to let us know how you're all doing!!! Love Lisa :)

Hi Mommy!!

I'm so fortunate to have such a cute kid, who is "interested" in so many things. Here he is, increasing his body of knowledge with such classic novels as, "Pooh Goes Visiting", and "Eeyore Has a Birthday". My little scholar here was so happy about "reading" he had to "read" ALL of his books!!!

It's also a well known fact that Mikey LOVES his puppy. He will sneak up on her and envelope her in the cutest little baby hug you've ever seen! She really doesn't like it :( because she's a bit afraid of him at this point. However, I'm positive the two have a future of fun and mischief ahead of them!!!

Bailey was relegated to the kitchen because Mikey was SUPPOSED to be eating his lunch.

Can I have some?

It's a well known fact that my child has a great love of food. He's absolutley NOT shy about "requesting" (schmoozing, begging...)some from whom ever may be eating. Here he is at it again, trying to get some ice cream from "Uncle Cracker" and Aunt "Panda".(Long story...maybe I'll tell it later!) He did get some...geez, could you resist that kid?!? I've been feeding him a lot more fresh fruit to offset the occasional sugary snack...hopefully he'll have more of a sweet tooth for the fruit...I doubt it, but I've got to try!!!

decided this was photo worthy. I'm a big enough person, however to admit it is damn funny to see a grown woman (in her pajamas no less) on a baby's riding toy. He thought it was funny too, you just can't see it from his vantage point I guess!!! (note to self...hide the camera when Mom's in the house!!)

I left Mikey's bedroom door open (we usually close it because he likes to close himself in and scare himself) just to let it air out and warm up a bit...well the little goober emptied his bookshelf onto the floor!

Giggles!!

Someone was trying to sneak up on his Mommy while she was playing with the camera. Fortunately, I "caught" him in the act and tickled a few giggles out of him!!

"Uncle" Matt

Here's Matt playing Guitar Hero III, hereafter referred to as GH3...We've got another addict on our hands!!! My sister Amanda and I have been getting together on a weekly basis to play together. It's been a wonderful "bonding" experience!!!

Incredibly fun bonding time with friends and family and getting to watch your 1 yr old dance to the music-PRICELESS!!!!!

(I know what you're thinking..."That TV was free but you had to pay a hundred bucks for the sound!" Well, the gift of the TV from Mikes brother and sister-in-law just wouldn't work without the surround sound!...literally...lol)

Dinner Party Fun

We had a nice little dinner party on Thursday with a couple of our friends from the DZ and their respective girlfriends. "honorary uncle" Tim is here with an "Oh so enthusiastic" Mikey. Tim and his GF Jen, and Matt and his GF Jessie enjoyed a nice evening of pasta (courtesy of Tim and Jen) shrimp coctail and cheese cake, and Mikey got to enjoy all but the shrimp!

We all had some fun playing Guitar Hero III on Mikes Xbox 360 after dinner.

Goofing off

Alright, I know I've been slacking in the picture posting department, as many of my family and co-workers are quick to point out!!!

I've been really busy with school! It's not a good excuse, but it's a good reason!!

So, to make up for my extended slacking, I'm posting a bunch of pics tonight ( well, it's actually 2AM).

Mikey and I had a bunch of fun running around the house and dancing with him on my shoulders. The little froggy slippers have rattles in them, so we were making our own music on our adventure!!

I thought the black & white effect on this picture was really nice. And Mikey looks so cute sucking his thumb! It was getting really close to bedtime...he only sucks his thumb when he's getting tired.

Mikey decided to fill the drawer with mommy's sneaker. I guess its better than when he was trying to chew the sneakers...while they were on my feet!!!

Congratulations Aunt Tracy and Uncle Mike!!!

Aunt Tracy and Uncle Mike announced this weekend that they're expecting baby #2 in late August around mommy's (Lisa's) birthday.

Walking you say?

Even though Mikey is using one of his walking toys in this pic, he can now walk on his own!!! My sis, bro-in law and nephew were in town this weekend, and once Mikey saw his cousin AJ walking, he must have decided he was ready to let go of the furniture. He's still going slow, but he's definetly found his confidence and is getting steadier by the day! I'll post a video soon.

Michael and Vincent

Mikey and Vinnie have gotten to play together a couple of times over the past few weeks, and Mommy and Aunt Lisa had a nice time chatting.

OK, so I know this picture is from November, and it's now January, but with the thousands of pics that I have of Mikey, it seems I missed a few here and there. This is one of Debbies dogs... Mikey seems to be quite the dog lover. He has a habit of grabbing on and hugging them or chasing them down. The pooches don't always like it, but at least they tolerate him!!!

Ain't he the cutest little guy you've ever seen? I love the little green sweats that Lisa and AJ got him for his b-day.
